Intervention

At Rise Psychology interventions can be planned and delivered with children and young people on a one to one or group basis. Support can be offered by delivering interventions directly with the children or young people, or by supporting key adults to work with the children and young people. Follow up support and supervision is offered in order to enhance practice and to support with embedding interventions into organisations.

Examples of interventions offered are listed below:

  • Therapeutic based interventions, including those based on: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy; Personal Construct Psychology; Solution Focussed Brief Therapy; Motivational Interviewing; and Counselling.
  • Learning based interventions, including those based on Precision Teaching and tailored literacy and numeracy based programmes.
  • Emotional literacy based interventions, including those which focus on: social and communication skills; behaviour; anger management; self esteem; self regulation; and motivation.
  • Group interventions, including those which focus on promoting: social and communication skills; emotional literacy skills; friendships; confidence; and self esteem.
